The Cauldron Has Spoken… My First Crochet Pattern Is Officially on Ravelry! 🌿✨

If you’d told me a year ago that I’d have my own crochet pattern on Ravelry, I’d probably have laughed, tripped over a ball of yarn, and accidentally started another project I definitely didn’t need.

Yet here we are.

The Ceridwen Tee has officially flown the nest, and somehow—through a suspicious combination of chaos, caffeine, Welsh mountain air, magic and sheer stubbornness—it has landed in Ravelry’s Top 20 Spotlight Debut Patterns.

I may or may not have done a little happy dance around the kitchen.

Okay… I absolutely did.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the Debut Patterns section showcases designers releasing their very first pattern. Seeing The Ceridwen Tee sitting there amongst so many talented designers feels completely surreal.

This little top represents everything Crefftau Ceridwen has become.

It wasn’t born in a corporate office.

It wasn’t designed by committee.

It certainly wasn’t planned sensibly.

It was born exactly the way most things happen around here…

From chaos. Magic. Mischief.

And probably me saying:

“Ooo… I wonder what happens if I just try this…”

Four hours later I’m surrounded by yarn, questioning my life choices, and somehow a new design has appeared.

The Ceridwen Tee is named after the legendary Welsh enchantress herself—a woman of transformation, creativity and a healthy respect for a bit of beautiful chaos. It seemed only fitting that my first published pattern should carry her name.

Designing a pattern is a strange kind of magic.

You don’t just crochet something pretty.

You unravel it.

Rewrite it.

Count every stitch.

Rewrite it again.

Crochet it again because you found one tiny mistake on page 7 at 11pm.

Wonder why you ever thought this was a good idea.

Then suddenly… someone you’ve never met makes one from your instructions.

That’s the real magic.
